Subtitling reviews:

Submitted by luce21 on 5th September 2004:
NOT SUBTITLED"An old boyfriend gave me a DVD of this because he knew that it was one of my favourite books. In the past, I have seen it on TV with subtitles, and I taped this recording. However, there was a problem at the time with our video recorder, and consequently, the subtitles did not appear. So I was thrilled when I got the DVD. Unfortunately, it was NOT captioned. As this is based on a Pulitzer Prize winning novel, with an Academy Award winning performance from Gregory Peck, I fail to fathom why this is the case. It is appalling, considering its fellow contemporary films, which can be so easily accessed."

Partly subtitled"The main feature is definitely subtitled - I have watched it and it also says so on the box. I can't speak for the special features as I haven't watched them."

Submitted by allan on 29th July 2007:
Partly subtitled"Main feature has English subtitles. Fearful Symmetry (making of documentary) and Theatrical Trailer are also English subtitled. Production, Cast and Filmmakers Notes are text-based. Unfortunately Audio Commentary is not subtitled. I don't agree with Iuce 21's rating because this DVD DOES have subtitles."

Submitted by allan on 29th July 2007:
Partly subtitled"(correction comment) I don't agree with Iuce 21's rating because this DVD do have subtitles. I think Iuce 21's DVD was pirate (omitted subtitles) or non-Region 2 DVD"
