Film information

Story: A documentary chronicling the development of golf's British Open over the 20th Century. Sportswriter Ian Woolridge describes the competition's humble origins, with few of America's top names willing to make the trip over the Atlantic to take part. He then documents the tournament's steady rise in prestige, with winners such as Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Seve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo offering their own recollections.
