Film information

Story: Recorded at London's Shepperton Studios in November and December 1992, this acclaimed production was directed by Trevor Nunn and based on a version staged at Glyndebourne. Willard White played Porgy and Cynthia Haymon was Bess. Other featured singers were Gregg Baker, Cynthia Clarey, Marietta Simpson and Damon Evans. Classic songs from the production include 'Summertime', 'It Ain't Necessarily So' and 'I Got Plenty of Nuttin''
