Film information

Story: Wim Wenders directs this psychological thriller. On the same day that his wife, Paige (Andie MacDowell), walks out on him, horror flick producer Mike Max (Bill Pullman) is abducted by two hitmen. The next day there is no sign of Mike, but the decapitated corpses of the hitmen are discovered under a freeway junction. Surveillance scientist Ray Bering (Gabriel Byrne), who is developing a system to put an end to violence, witnessed Mike's abduction up to a certain point, only to have his screen cut out at the crucial moment. As the mystery surrounding Mike's disappearance deepens, Ray begins to wonder exactly who is observing who.
