Film information

Story: Four volume box set chronicling the history of the BRM racing car. Conceived by Raymond Mays and Peter Berthon as a British Grand Prix car capable of beating Italian and German rivals, the BRM V16 was not a success on its 1950 Silverstone debut, but nevertheless won admirers the world over. The P25 was more successful than its V16 predecessor when introduced in 1955, and despite its fragility claimed victory in the 1957 Caen Grand Prix. The introduction of the rear-engined 1.5 litre V8 P57 resulted in Graham Hill winning four Grand Prixs in a row, and ushered in BRM's golden era. Following the departure of Graham Hill and Tony Rudd from the BRM team, the company struggled to maintain the successes of the 1960s, and retired from racing in 1974. Contributors include Tony Rudd and Jackie Stewart.
