Film information

Story: Triple bill of comedies about the trials and tribulations of pregnancy and birth in the modern world. Jennifer Lopez stars in 'The Back-Up Plan' (2010). After years of directionless dating, Zoe (Lopez) has finally decided that the wait for the perfect man has been too long. Determined to become a mother before it is too late, she decides to go it alone and signs up to conceive a baby through artificial insemination. But when she meets Stan (Alex O'Loughlin) on the same day as successfully conceiving twins, a comedy of errors ensues as Zoe tries to keep her new relationship alive while struggling with the early stages of pregnancy. Judd Apatow writes and directs 'Knocked Up' (2007). Slacker Ben (Seth Rogen) and up-and-coming career girl Alison (Katherine Heigl) meet at a bar and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison asks to meet up with him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake. Tina Fey stars in 'Baby Mama' (2008) as Kate Holbrook, a successful single businesswoman who realises in her late thirties that, owing to an unforeseen gynaecological problem, she has left it too late to have a baby. Undaunted, Kate approaches a surrogacy agency run by the formidable Chaffee Bicknell (Sigourney Weaver), and engages working class girl Angie Ostrowiski (Amy Poehler) to be a surrogate mother. Once she finds out that Angie has become pregnant, Kate throws herself into reading childcare manuals, researching good schools and installing baby equipment in her apartment in between her business engagements - but the course of motherhood never did run smooth and Kate soon finds herself in circumstances way beyond her control.
