Film information

Story: Double bill of classic British features. 'The Adventures of Jane' (1949), based on the wartime comic strip of the same name, stars Christabel Leighton-Porter in the title role. Jane gets on the wrong side of a brutal gang of spivs in Brighton. When she refuses to keep her nose out of their business, the gang decide to get rid of her. Will her faithful dog, Fritz, be able to save the day? In 'Murder at 3 A.M.' (1953), a series of late-night murders is baffling the police and, as the killings continue, each fresh clue winds up a dead end. When Inspector Lawson (Dennis Price) senses he is about to make a breakthrough, he is shocked to discover that the new evidence points the finger of suspicion at his sister Joan's (Peggy Evans) fiance (Philip Saville).
