Film information

Based on: The novel by Eleanor Atkinson

Story: A double bill of canine adventures. 'The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby' is an adaptation of the classic tale, directed by Josh Henderson, about a small dog called Bobby who refuses to leave his master's graveside, until he forms a friendship with a young boy called Ewan (Oliver Golding) in 19th century Edinburgh. When a new law comes into place banning stray dogs, Ewan has to do everything he can to keep Bobby safe. Also starring Gina McKee and Christopher Lee. Whilst in 'Beethoven', Beethoven, a cute, small St Bernard puppy, finds refuge from animal experimenter Dr Varnick in the tidy household of George Newton (Charles Grodin). There Beethoven grows very big and causes near chaos. Meanwhile Dr Varnick thinks Beethoven an ideal subject on which to test some new ammunition.
