Film information

Based on: The short story 'A Situation of Gravity' by Samuel Taylor

Story: College professor Ned Brainard (Fred MacMurray) invents a substance that will give its users an extra spring in their step: flying rubber, or 'flubber', a property that enables people to jump incredible distances when applied to the soles of their shoes. The eccentric scientist is brought back down to earth by the machinations of an evil competitor who plans to use the invention for his own ends. Remade in 1997 as 'Flubber', starring Robin Williams.
