Film information

Story: Triple bill featuring three thrillers about mad killers. In 'Summer of Sam' (1999), Vinny (John Leguizamo) is determined to live up to his reputation as the neighbourhood stud, despite the devoted love of his wife Dionna (Mira Sorvino). Ritchie (Adrien Brody), meanwhile, funds his attempts to make it in the music industry by moonlighting as a male stripper. When a serial killer starts picking out his victims in their area, the finger of suspicion falls on them all. 'The Boston Strangler' (1968) is a documentary-style account of the investigations into a real-life sex killer who terrorised Boston in the early sixties, murdering 13 women during blackouts. Tony Curtis plays Albert de Salvo, the psychotic plumber responsible for the killings, whilst Henry Fonda features as the Massachusetts Attorney-General leading the effort to track him down. In 'Kalifornia' (1993), a writer (David Duchovny) and his photographer girlfriend leave New York to drive to a new life in California, taking in several Southern States so that they can visit murder sites for their new book on serial killers. Along the way they pick up two hitchhikers, one of whom (Brad Pitt) could provide an interesting case study for their research.
