Film information
Story: Vivien Leigh stars in this rags-to-riches theatrical drama as a young London pickpocket called Libby, whose talent as a dancer is spotted by street performer Charles (Charles Laughton). Libby's graceful moves are soon drawing an ever-increasing audience to Charles's dramatic act, and it isn't long before the duo catch the eye of theatre patron Harley (Rex Harrison). The pair are invited to a post-play party, and when Libby turns up alone her career takes off - leaving Charles and the other buskers to struggle on in the cold London streets while she enjoys a life in the limelight.
