Film information

Story: An overview of the year that Arsenal, inspired by Joe Mercer, coasted to their sixth League title; Manchester United defeated Blackpool (featuring Stanley Matthews) in one of the greatest FA Cup Finals; an off-spinner called Jim Laker made his test debut against the West Indies and took seven first innings wickets; Henry Cotton won his third British Open; the England football team travelled to Italy and won 4-0; the 1948 Olympic Games were held in London; and Don Bradman, the greatest batsman in cricketing history, brought his invincible Australians to England and played his last ever test innings at the Oval.
