Based on: The novel by Jack W. Schaefer
Story: Shane (Alan Ladd) is a soft-spoken ex-gunfighter who becomes a farm hand for a frontier family. All the local homesteaders are terrorised by a ruthless cattleman, and Shane reluctantly faces the fact that his gunfighting skills are of more use than his farm labour. Nominated for several Academy Awards and winner of Best Photography.
