Film information

Story: Box-set containing three popular Robert De Niro movies. 'Raging Bull' (1980) is Martin Scorsese's acclaimed biopic of Jake La Motta (De Niro), the boxing world champion who rose rapidly to fame but swiftly fell from grace. On the road to success, La Motta marries a beautiful young starlet, but the pressures of success soon make him paranoid and he ends up alienating both her and his brother Joey (Joe Pesci). In 'Ronin' (1998), a group of five mercenaries hire their expert skills out to the highest bidder - Sam (De Niro) is an ex-CIA man, Vincent (Jean Réno), a French operative, Spence (Sean Bean), a weapons expert, Gregor (Stellan Skarsgard), an ex-KGB electronics wizard and Larry (Skip Sudduth), a driver. Contacted via Irish revolutionary Deirdre (Natascha McElhone) by an unseen employer, the group are hired to steal a well-guarded briefcase. The mission succeeds, but divisions within the team soon result in treachery and betrayal. Finally, in 'True Confessions' (1981), De Niro and Robert Duvall star as two brothers caught in a web of deceit surrounding a heinous murder.
