Film information
Based on: The book by Jerry Stahl
Story: An autobiographical account of top Hollywood television scriptwriter Jerry Stahl, played by Ben Stiller. At the height of his career Stahl was earning over $5,000 a week with his scriptwriting and married to a British TV executive (Elizabeth Hurley) with a baby on the way. But behind all the rich, glitzy lifestyle was a man fighting a major drug addiction and whose life was beginning to run away from him. Eventually Stahl checks into a rehab clinic where he starts an affair with fellow addict Kitty (Maria Bello). However, both still have a long journey of recovery ahead of them.
