Film information

Story: All three films from George A. Romero's zombie horror trilogy. In 'Night of the Living Dead' (1968) Barbara (Judith O'Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner)'s visit to their father's grave is interrupted when Johnny is killed by a flesh-eating stranger. Barbara escapes to a nearby farmhouse, meets up with a few other desperate individuals, and prepares to do battle with the zombies who gather outside. The sequel, 'Dawn of the Dead' (1979), sees the zombies now roaming the entire American continent, feeding off the flesh of the living. TV reporter Francine (Gaylen Ross), her boyfriend, Stephen (David Emge), and two SWAT team cops seek refuge in a deserted shopping mall. Their temporary haven is put in jeopardy, however, by a gang of marauding bikers, as well as the obligatory window-shopping zombies. The concluding part, 'Day of the Dead' (1985), opens with the undead roaming the planet freely. The living have been forced underground, where they make their base in a hidden missile depot, helping with the experiments of scientist Doctor Logan (Richard Liberty), who hopes to domesticate the zombies. However, the military types among the human survivors favour a more direct approach, and with food stocks becoming ever more depleted, they decide to take action. What follows is the final showdown between the forces of the living and the armies of the dead.
