Film information
Story: Leading astronomer, Patrick Moore presents this look at how the moon has evolved from being remote and mysterious to something that is now very familiar, although there is still the age old question: was there ever life on the moon? He uses exclusive NASA footage of the Apollo landing, illustrations, diagrams and rare film archive to look at the 10 most important scientific discoveries that have come out of lunar study and also looks at the day the last solar eclipse hit Britain, August 11th 1999.
