Film information
Story: Western set in 1845, following three families as they venture across the Oregon Trail with hopes of finding a better life in the Pacific Northwest. Their already treacherous journey becomes even more gruelling when their guide, mountaineer Stephen Meek (Bruce Greenwood), insists on taking a alternative route which he knows to be shorter. This results in the group getting lost, however, and, with great reluctance, they end up placing their trust in a Native American (Rod Rondeaux) they meet on the way. Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Shirley Henderson co-star.
