Film information

Story: A box set of series 1 and 2 of the popular BBC drama. Jonathan Creek (Alan Davies) is a master of illusion and Maddy Magellan (Caroline Quentin) is an investigative crime writer. Together they form a duo who solve seemingly impossible crimes - working out how they did it as opposed to whodunnit. In 'The Wrestler's Tomb', conjuror's trick devisor Jonathan is reluctantly teamed with journalist Maddy to investigate the mysterious and inexplicable murder of artist Hedley Shale. 'Jack in the Box' sees Jonathan and Maddy called in when ageing comedian Jack Holiday dies, apparently having committed suicide at exactly the same time that the man convicted of murdering his first wife is released from prison. In 'The Reconstituted Corpse', Jonathan and Maddy are called in when a plastic surgeon is murdered. 'No Trace of Tracy' sees them attempting to discover the whereabouts of a teenage girl who vanished after keeping an appointment with her rock god idol, Roy Pilgrim - who claims never to have heard from her. In 'The House of Monkeys', Jonathan becomes involved in another inexplicable murder while receiving a check- up from a medical friend of the family. In 'Danse Macabre' the Reverend Stephen Claithorne (Peter Davison) asks Maddy to investigate his mother-in-law's death. 'Time Waits for Norman' sees the pair coming across a man who can be on two different continents a the same time. In 'The Scented Room' Jonathan refuses to reveal the secret behind the theft of a painting, as he hates the owner. In 'The Problem at the Gallows: Parts 1 and 2' the pair find themselves investigating a dead man, suspecting he is in fact a murder suspect. And finally, in 'Mother Redcap' Jonathan and Maddy investigate the murder of a High Court Judge, stabbed to death in his own bed whilst lying next to his sleeping wife.
