Film information

Story: Corrupt cop Dennis Peck (Richard Gere) has a hand in every racket going, running a small empire of money laundering, bribery and favour-selling in suburban Los Angeles. His influence extends so far that when Internal Affairs officer Raymond Avila (Andy Garcia) begins to suspect something, a number of leading police officers speak up on Peck's behalf, claiming that he is a model cop. Peck thinks he's safe, he thinks no one can touch him, but the single-minded Avila stays on the case, determined to see justice done. Directed by Mike ('Leaving Las Vegas') Figgis.
