Based on: The 1972 feature 'Solyaris'/the novel by James Jones

Story: Box set containing four films starring George Clooney. 'One Fine Day' (1996) is a light-hearted romantic comedy. Melanie Parker (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Jack Taylor (Clooney) are both single parents with a hectic day ahead of them. While Melanie has to give a presentation at her architectural firm, journalist Jack must attend an important press conference. Due to Jack's forgetfulness, both his daughter Maggie and Melanie's son Sammy have missed their school field trip and, although Jack and Melanie dislike each other, they agree to baby-sit each other's kids while they keep their respective appointments. Inevitably, a gentle romance ensues. In 'Solaris' (2002) Chris Kelvin (Clooney) is a psychologist sent to investigate a series of mysterious occurrences aboard a distant space station. When he arrives he finds the two surviving crew members isolated from each other, and he learns that they have both received visits from loved ones who have been dead for many years. Soon Kelvin receives a visitor of his own - a figure in the form of his dead wife Rheya (Natascha McElhone) - and the feelings of guilt and tenderness that she awakens in him make his attempts to penetrate the mystery even more difficult. The Academy Award-nominated 'The Thin Red Line' (1998) is set in 1942 and was director Terrence Malick's first film for twenty years. As US soldiers land on the island of Guadalcanal, hoping to capture it from the Japanese, the job of venturing into the jungle falls to the 'C for Charlie' company and the troops are faced by both the enemy and struggles within their own camp. The war takes a heavy toll upon the young soldiers, leading them on a path of disillusion and possibly death. 'Good Night, And Good Luck' (2005) is an Oscar nominated drama directed by, written by and starring Clooney. The year is 1953, television is still in its infancy and the esteemed broadcast journalist, Edward R. Murrow (David Strathairn), anchors the popular news documentary show, 'See it Now', on CBS. Murrow, alongside producer Fred Friendly (Clooney), oversees a show that reports on the news items of the day. He has a dedicated crew of reporters that includes Don Hewitt (Grant Heslov), Joe Wershba (Robert Downey Jr.), Palmer Williams (Tom McCarthy), Jesse Zousmer (Tate Donovan), John Aaron (Reed Diamond), Charlie Mack (Robert John Burke) and Eddie Scott (Matt Ross). All these men will become broadcast legends, but right now, their careers are just beginning. With the threat of Communism creating an air of paranoia in the United States and Senator Joseph McCarthy exploiting those fears, Murrow and Friendly decide to take a stand and challenge McCarthy, exposing him for the fearmonger he is.
