Film information

Story: A triple bill of films for girls in their early teens. 'Freaky Friday' (2003) is a remake of the 1977 teen fantasy comedy. Disgruntled teen Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) and her uptight mother Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) wake up one morning to find that they are trapped in each other's bodies. In order to reclaim their own bodies, they must come to a greater understanding of one another. In 'The Princess Diaries' (2001), San Francisco teenager Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) just wants to get through the rigours of high school unharmed, avoiding as many of life's petty embarassments as possible. However, when her long-lost grandmother Clarisse (Julie Andrews) appears out of the blue, Mia gets the surprise of her life; it seems she is the princess of a tiny principality called Genovia, and is in fact next in line to the throne. Angry that this news has been kept from her, Mia nevertheless agrees to embark on a crash course of princess lessons. But when she begins to get lost in a comic flurry of bungled state engagements and over-eager media attention, the prospective princess begins to wonder if the royal life is really right for her. 'Lizzie McGuire - The Movie (2003) follows the comic foibles of lovable Lizzie (Hilary Duff) and her pals begin as they pack their bags for a class trip to Italy. For Lizzie, it's a trip of a lifetime that becomes a dream come true when she falls for Paolo, an Italian pop sensation, who mistakes her for his former girlfriend. Transformed from an awkward teen to international pop star, Lizzie must choose between her glamorous new life and leaving her old life and friends behind.
