Film information

Story: Box set containing three gritty urban dramas. In 'Four Brothers' (2005), when their mother is murdered during a hold-up in a local grocery store, her four adopted sons decide to take the law into their own hands and find the man responsible for the crime. As they investigate, they discover that Jeremiah's (Andre Benjamin) dealings with a local criminal (Chiwetel Ejiofor) may have something to do with the case, and that the two policemen investigating the murder may not be quite what they seem. 'Hustle and Flow' (2005) is an inner-city rap drama starring Ludacris and Terrence Howard. Street hustler and low-grade pimp DJay (Howard) spends his time selling sexy Nola (Taryn Manning) to clients so that he can support pregnant girlfriend Shug (Taraji Henson), but his sleazy lifestyle leaves him feeling hollow and unfulfilled. When he hears that local rapper, and now major superstar, Skinny Black (Ludacris) is returning to the 'hood for the 4th of July, DJay seizes his only opportunity to team up with a couple of friends and put together a demo tape that he hopes will buy his way to fame and fortune. 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'' (2005) is an urban drama about inner-city drug dealer Marcus (50 Cent), an orphan who grows up on the tough streets of New York and who starts work for crime boss Levar (Bill Duke). Although Marcus wants to pursue his dream of becoming a rap star, he finds the easy money of crime and drug dealing too hard to resist - until a heist goes badly wrong and he ends up shot. Recovering from his injuries, Marcus is supported by his girlfriend Charlene (Joy Bryant) as he starts recording songs inspired by his tough upbringing. Fame seems just around the corner, but when his old associates hear about his new direction, they start to fear that Marcus is going to reveal too much about their criminal activities.
