Film information

Story: Classic musical starring George Raft. Tony West (Raft) is part of a music group called The Three Wests, along with his sister Kitty (Grace McDonald), and father Nick (Charles Grapewin). The trio are a failing act on the East coast of America but when Tony persuades the family to take their act to California, they get a lucky break. Soon after arriving in Hollywood, Tony gets work as a chorus boy in a musical starring Latin bombshell Gloria Vance (Vera Zorina). A romantic relationship develops between Tony and Gloria, and pretty soon the pair are married. But when World War II breaks out, Tony is found unacceptable for military service due to a bad knee. Determined to show his support for the American troops, he organises an all-star U.S.O. revue to bring much needed entertainment to America's oversea soldiers.
