Film information

Story: A double bill of sports documentaries. 'Faster' (2003), follows the MotoGP motorcycling world championship, a series of 16 races on five continents contested by 24 of the world's top riders. Narrated by motorbike enthusiast and film star Ewan McGregor, the film goes behind the scenes of the 2001 and 2002 seasons, and focuses primarily on 24-year-old rider Valentino Rossi, along with fellow bikers Max Biaggi, Garry McCoy and teenager John Hopkins. 'Fastest' (2011) takes an in-depth look at the career of Rossi, one of the most successful and celebrated motorcyclists of all time. Hailing from Italy, he has won a record nine Grand Prix World Championships. In the unforgiving world of sport, however, past achievements count for little. This documentary follows Rossi through the years 2010 and 2011 as he bids to hold off a new batch of fast young racers and attempts to recover from a broken leg sustained in an accident.
