As he tries to glean information from his Alzheimer's affected father Sam (Jim Broadbent), Tom becomes increasingly frustrated at his father's inability to recall the events of the past. But it's not long before his dogged persistance begins to uncover secrets relating to a decades-old scandal that will have major implications throughout the town, and turn the lives of those involved upside down.
