Film information

Story: Collection of romantic movies starring Drew Barrymore. In 'Going the Distance' (2010) Erin (Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long) meet on a blind date, but they both know that they don't want a serious relationship; after all, Erin is leaving town in only six weeks' time. Vowing to 'keep things light', the two embark on a fun short-term fling, hampered only by the antics of Garrett's eccentric live-in father. But as the time comes for Erin to leave, they both realise their deep feelings for each other and decide at the last minute to try a long-distance relationship - despite repeated warnings from their friends. Can they overcome the challenges posed by the many miles that divide them and do what it takes to 'go the distance'? In 'Music and Lyrics' (2007) former popular musician Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) is these days lucky to get a gig playing at the local county fair. Just when it seems as if things couldn't get any bleaker for Alex, reigning pop diva Cora Corman (Haley Bennett) offers him the opportunity to write and record a duet with her and give his career a much-needed boost. Little does Cora realise that not only has it been years since Alex has written a song, but he's never actually written a single lyric. Now, if he hopes to make the comeback needed to save him from a life of complete and utter obscurity, Alex will have to craft a radio-friendly hit in a matter of mere days. Luckily for Alex, his quirky plant-keeper, Sophie Fisher (Barrymore), has quite a way with words and may possess just the kind of songwriting talent needed to make such a hit happen. In 'Lucky You' (2007) seasoned poker professional Huck Cheever (Eric Bana) is on a losing streak, both on the card table and in his personal life. While attempting to win the biggest game of them all, the Poker World Series, he meets and falls in love with beautiful Las Vegas singer Billie Offer (Barrymore) - but his gambling addiction soon threatens to sour their relationship. Meanwhile, Huck's estranged father, poker ace LC (Robert Duvall), is back in town - and looks set to become the next opponent for his troubled son. With stakes as high as these, can Huck afford to take the gamble? In 'The Wedding Singer' (1998), set in 1985, Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) makes his living as a singer at wedding receptions. When he is jilted by girlfriend Linda (Angela Featherstone) on his own wedding day, however, Robbie's musical performances degenerate into bitter tirades. Robbie's career is rescued by waitress Julia (Barrymore), who asks him to help with the preparations for her own impending nuptials. Robbie and Julia begin to fall for each other, but neither reveals their feelings - even though Robbie knows that Julia's fiancé, Glenn (Matthew Glave), is cheating on her. Will the truth come out before Julia goes through with marrying Glenn?
