Film information

Story: Collection of nature programmes presented by David Attenborough. The programmes are: 'The Penguin King', 'Natural History Museum Alive' and 'Conquest of the Skies'. 'The Penguin King' follows the early life of a penguin. The film chronicles the first years of a young penguin as he battles his way through adolescence to become a fully-fledged king of the Antarctic. 'Natural History Museum Alive' uses cutting-edge CGI to bring to life the residents of London's Natural History Museum. From famously extinct creatures such as the dodo and dinosaurs to some lesser-known animals from Earth's prehistoric past, Attenborough highlights the distinctive features of the residents he meets and discusses how they may have lived and died. 'Conquest of the Skies' sees Attenborough look into the scientific reasons behind gravity-defying animals. Using modern technology and new advances in high-speed filming, Attenborough and his team travel back in time 300 million years to investigate the evolution of flight.

Starring: David Attenborough (voice)
