Film information
Story: Christmas-themed triple bill of US comedies. In the family comedy 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas' (2009), ex-police dog Zeus (voiced by Mario Lopez) is adopted by the Bannister family as an early Christmas present and a guard dog for the family home, having failed spectacularly at his former vocation. When the house is broken into while the family are away for Christmas, it is up to the wayward Zeus to save the day. Nicole Eggert and David O'Donnell star in the romantic comedy 'A Christmas Proposal' (2008) as Lisa and Rick, two lawyers representing the two sides of a controversial proposal to turn the picturesque mountain town of of Fillmore into an upmarket ski resort. As they come face to face on the case, they recognise each other as former high school sweethearts. Rick is soon questioning his commitment to both his job and his fiancee as Lisa and his hometown work their old magic upon him. 'Nothing Like the Holidays' (2008) stars John Leguizamo, Freddy Rodriguez, Alfred Molina and Debra Messing. When the three Rodriguez sibilings, Jesse (Rodriguez), a marine who has just returned from abroad; Roxanna (Vanessa Ferlito), a less than successful actress in Hollywood; and Mauricio (Leguizamo), the eldest son accompanied by his new businesswoman wife; return to their parents' home in Chicago, the family must try and get along as they spend an eventful festive season together. Despite the bickering and irritations, the Rodriguezes finally come together when they discover one of them really needs help.
