Film information

Story: Documentary which examines the corruption scandal surrounding former US lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Abramoff, known in some circles as a 'super-lobbyist' due to the extent of his reach in US politics, came to national prominence in 2006 when he was convicted of fraud, conspiracy and tax evasion. Perhaps more troublingly for the US political system, several high-profile elected officials were implicated along with Abramoff; two White House staffers and a member of the US House of Representatives, Bob Ney, resigned as a result of the case. This film looks at the individual case of Abramoff and the wider practice of lobbying in the US.

Directed by: Alex Gibney

Subject: Jack Abramoff, Bob Ney
