Film information
Story: Box set featuring special editions of some of the films from the evergreen 'Carry On' series from 1967 to the end of the series. In 'Carry On Doctor', one man thinks he only has a week to live, while the rest of the patients lead a revolution against the staff. In 'Carry On Matron', a gang of crooks, intent on stealing a huge supply of birth control pills, invade a hospital. In 'Carry On Again Doctor', a surgeon sets up a slimming clinic on the basis of a potion from the Beatific Isles. In 'Carry On Loving', Sid James and Hattie Jacques run a dubious marriage agency. In 'Carry On Emmannuelle' the 'Carry On' team send up the popular '70s softcore 'Emmanuelle' films. In 'Carry On Don't Lose Your Head', in the grim days of the French revolution, citizens Camembert and Bidet are no match for the 'Black Fingernail'. In 'Carry On Dick', the notorious highwayman Dick Turpin disguises himself as a vicar to avoid capture. In 'Carry On Jungle', an explorer in the African jungle searches for a rare bird, but is captured by an all-female tribe instead. In 'Carry On Henry', the 'Carry On' team present a seaside postcard view of English history. In 'Carry On England', the commanding officer of a mixed-sex, anti-aircraft battery is powerless to stop his company from fooling around, on and off duty. In 'Carry On Up The Khyber', British forces face the hostile Afghan tribesmen in this tale of the North-West frontier during the days of the British Raj. In 'Carry On Camping' Sid (Sid James) and Bernie (Bernard Bresslaw) attempt to trick their girlfriends into attending a nudist camp with them. Fellow holiday-makers include Dr Soaper (Kenneth Williams), his matron Miss Haggerd (Hattie Jacques), and their school of overdeveloped young girls (including Barbara Windsor). In 'Carry On Abroad', the 'Carry On' team put their talents to sending up package holidays. In 'Carry On Follow That Camel', an English gentleman joins the Foreign Legion after having been accused of fraud, and saves a fort from marauding Arabs. In 'Carry On Girls', the 'Carry On ' team send up the 'Women's Lib' movement. Sid Fidler (Sid James) convinces Fircombe council to hold a beauty contest, but the local women's lib action group opposes the idea. In 'Carry On Behind', a beautiful Russian archeologist joins a British dig with chaotic results. Things are further complicated by the presence of hordes of glamorous campers at the caravan park next door. In 'Carry On At Your Convenience', Kenneth Williams leads the 'Carry On' team as W.C. Boggs, the owner of a troubled toiletware company. The management is highly incompetent and as a result the unions are not happy, but they are the least of Bogg's troubles. Finally in 'That's Carry On' twenty years of classic 'Carry On' films are celebrated as two of the film's best-loved stars, Kenneth Williams and Barbara Windsor return to Pinewood film studios to unwrap some rib-tickling moments from the series.
