Film information

Story: Collection of stand-up performances and programmes presented by musically-inclined, follicly-challenged 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' comedian Bill Bailey. 'Cosmic Jam' (1996), Bill's first stand-up release, captures him performing live at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London. The 'Bewilderness' show (2001) features the now-legendary Steven Hawking Brief History of Time routine. 'Part Troll' (2004) sees him performing at the Hammersmith Apollo. 'Tinselworm' (2008) sees him waxing lyrical on subjects as diverse as God, worms, mumbling, delusion, the creation vs science debate and the wonder of jazz singers in his own inimitable way. In 'Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra' (2009), Bill joins forces with composer Anne Dudley and The BBC Concert Orchestra for an evening of music and comedy. Using both contemporary and classical references, Bill explains the nuances of how the orchestra works and the lesser-known influences of various classical composers. The programme also includes some of his own original works, arranged and performed by himself and the orchestra under the guidance of musical maestro Anne Dudley.
