Film information

Based on: A true story

Story: Russian biographical drama from director Sergey Mokritskiy. With the breakout of war and subsequent German invasion of the USSR, promising university student Lyudmila Pavlichenko (Yuliya Peresild) is forced to enlist in the army. After establishing herself as an effective sniper of considerable skill, she becomes a target for the German High Command. When she is seriously injured in battle, Pavlichenko is pulled from combat and sent to the United States on a publicity visit where she meets Eleanor Roosevelt (Joan Blackham) and the two become close.
