Based on: The book by Michelle Magorian
Story: Rusty Dickinson (Jessica Fox) was evacuated to America in the early days of the Second World War. Now it is five years later, the war is over, and Rusty is returning home. Her mother Peggy (Sarah Lancashire) comes to meet her at the docks, eager to see her darling daughter once again. But the years of upheaval have brought about many changes in all concerned - especially with Rusty's new-fangled American ways - and it will take a while before the Dickinsons adapt to each other again.
