Film information

Story: This early work by Verdi is set in 5th-century Italy, in a barbaric age of Huns and Ostragoths. The patriotic tale of the downfall of the infamous King of the Huns was extremely popular in Risorgimento, Italy in the mid-1800s. In this production from the Arena di Verona, filmed in 1985, the great Russian bass Evgeny Nesterenko takes the title role in this story of power and treachery.
