Film information

Story: Collection of American martial arts action features. In 'American Ninja' (1985), Michael Dudikoff stars as the American soldier Joe Armstrong who has to defend himself using the martial art of ninjitsu when his convoy is ambushed. After being sent to an army base in the Philippines to avoid prison, Joe saves the base colonel's daughter Patricia (Judie Aronson) after his platoon is attacked and their weapons stolen. His brave act makes him the target of revenge for the evil Black Star Ninja (Tadashi Yamashita), forcing the pair into a battle to the death. In 'American Ninja 2 - The Confrontation' (1987), Joe and Curtis Jackson (Steve James) have been promoted to Army Rangers and must orchestrate the recovery of a group of marines who have been taken captive by a Caribbean drugs baron known as The Lion (Gary Conway). Leo 'The Lion' Burke battles the intruders with his gang of bionically engineered assassins as he strives to achieve the ultimate goal of creating his own personal army as part of his SuperNinja programme. In 'American Ninja 3 - Bloodheart' (1989), Curtis Jackson is joined by new partner and karate champion Sean Davidson (David Bradley) to take on a terrorist known as The Cobra (Marjoe Gortner) and his army of genetically-engineered ninjas led by Chan Lee (Michele Chan). In 'American Ninja 4 - The Annihilation' (1990) Sean is captured by Colonel Scott Mulgrew (James Booth) after discovering his plot to blow up New York City with the militant Sheikh Maksood (Ron Smerczack). The American government respond by luring ninja master Joe Armstrong out of retirement and sending him in to defuse the crisis.
