Film information
Story: Triple bill of sci-fi horror. 'Aliens' (1986) is James Cameron's sequel to the highly successful 'Alien'. Officer Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), the sole survivor of the alien attack on the 'Nostromo', awakes after 57 years in suspended animation when she is picked up by a salvage ship. She is put to work by the Company, but is horrified to discover that the planet where her ship picked up the original alien has now been colonized. When contact with the colony is lost, the Company send Ripley on an investigative mission with a team of hardened Space Marines. 'Resident Evil' (2002) is a big screen version of the popular computer game. A virus has been sealed in an underground research centre, the Hive, and Alice (Milla Jovovich) and Rain (Michelle Rodriguez) are sent in with a team of commandos to destroy it. However, they have not counted on the fact that all the employees who were trapped in the Hive with the virus, and thought to be dead, have been turned into the living dead and one scratch from them can cause the recipient to become like them... Cult horror director David Cronenberg found mainstream success with 'The Fly' (1986), an Oscar-winning remake of the 1958 horror classic. Scientist Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum), experimenting with transmitting matter uses himself as a guinea-pig, unaware that a fly has got into the machinery. As he embarks on a relationship with Veronica Quaife (Geena Davis), the journalist who is covering his project, his body slowly begins to take on fly-like characteristics.
