Film information

Based on: The books by Agatha Christie

Story: Collection of feature and TV adaptations of the crime novels by Agatha Christie. In 'The Pale Horse' (1997) Mark Easterbrook (Colin Buchanan) finds himself in the frame for the murder of a priest and sees no way out of his predicament other than to solve the case himself. In 'Sparkling Cyanide' (2003) the murder of influential millionaire George Barton (Kenneth Cranham)'s wife at a plush dinner party is the mystery at the heart of the feature. Who was responsible for committing the crime? In 'Why Didn't They Ask Evans?' (1980) vicar's son Bobby Jones (James Warwick) is enjoying a round of golf when he discovers a dying man at the foot of some cliffs. His enigmatic last words send Bobby on a quest that quickly turns into a full-blown murder enquiry. 'Tommy and Tuppence' (1983) is a TV adaptation of the many adventures of the married couple of amateur detectives, Tommy (Warwick) and Tuppence (Francesca Annis).
