Film information

Story: Triple bill of timeless classics. Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr star in 'An Affair to Remember' (1957) as a playboy and a nightclub singer who embark on a shipboard romance and eventually fall completely in love with each other. They decide to make a pact that when they arrive to their separate homes, they will end their respective relationships, and rendezvous in six months' time at the top of the Empire State Building. The course of true love, however, never does run smoothly. A remake of the 1939 film 'Love Affair', the film was nominated for three Oscars. 'Love is a Many-Splendored Thing' (1955) is set in Hong Kong during the Korean War. A Eurasian female doctor (Jennifer Jones) and an American journalist (William Holden) fall in love, but their love does not run a smooth course as he is already married, and her family and friends do not approve. This celebrated film won an Academy Award for Alfred Newman's title theme and was nominated for Best Picture.
