Based on: The book by C.E.T. Warren and J. Benson/experiences of Lord Mounbatten

Story: Double-bill of WW2 British naval dramas starring John Mills. 'Above Us the Waves' (1956) sees Mills leads a stalwart British cast in a documentary-style submarine drama chronicling British efforts to destroy the German battleship 'Tirpitz' in a Norwegian fjord. 'In Which We Serve' (1942) features Noel Coward as writer, co-director and co-star in a patriotic drama which, through the use of flashbacks, charts the reminiscences of a destroyer crew after their beloved ship is torpedoed.
