Film information

Story: Four classic archive documentaries produced by the Films of Scotland Committee, focusing on the city of Aberdeen. 'Aberdeen' (1906) captures the visit by King Edward VII to the city for the quartercentenary of the university. 'The Silver City' (1957) follows a disparate group of visitors exploring Aberdeen for the first time. 'Beyond the Grampians' (1963) looks at the lives of the fishing and farming communities of Aberdeenshire. Finally, 'Aberdeen by Seaside and Deeside' (1971) is an impressionistic account of the city's attractions.
