Film information

Story: Comprehensive review of the music of ABBA on record, on stage, in concert and on screen. Drawing on rare performances and interviews from around the globe, this set of three in-depth critical films explores every aspect of the band's career. 'ABBA: A Critical Review 1973-1976' explores the work of the band from its infancy through the release of Waterloo and beyond, and examines the factors that prompted ABBA's meteoric rise to become one of the biggest bands of the early 1970s. 'ABBA: A Critical Review 1977-1982' shows the band in their heyday. As international megastars, they set about making pop history, producing hits that are still loved today. 'ABBA: In Performance' draws on rare footage of ABBA in performance from film and TV vaults around the world, and is coupled with the expert knowledge of ABBA insiders, including the band's first press officer, John Tobler, esteemed ABBA author Karl French, and some of today's leading critics and musicologists.
