Film information

Story: Feature length documentary details the innumerable attempts to end the life of Cuban president, Fidel Castro. Over the years, the myths surrounding attempts (mainly American-backed) to 'see off' Fidel Castro have grown to fantastical proportions. Here, some attempt is made to find the truth behind it all and in many cases the truth far exceeds the ridiculousness of the myths. The CIA, for example, after many ineffective attempts themselves, brought in the Mafia in hopes that their experience might prove useful! A parade of shady characters, thieves and cut-purses -- many of whom would today doubtless fall under the label 'terrorist' - are shown to have had a bash at the old 'Red Menace' - invariably under the auspices of the US government.
