Film information
Story: Box set featuring 'Horror Hotel' (aka The City of the Dead), The Terror' and 'The Corpse Vanishes'(aka The Case of the Missing Brides). In 'Horror Hotel' Nan Barlow (Venetia Stevenson) is an inquisitive college student investigating a New England town which was the scene of witchcraft trials some 250 years before. In 'The Terror', Mr Goodman (Wilfred Lawson) is the detective in search of the mysterious villain known only as 'The Terror'. Finally in 'The Corpse Vanishes' Bela Lugosi plays the archetypal mad scientist who kidnaps newlywed brides and drains their glandular fluids to rejuvenate his ageing wife. All the horror elements are involved: mad scientist; old witch-like hag; a dwarf; coffins; swirling mist and inclement weather.
